Artist statement short version
Since 1999, I have been continuing to create works using paper as my medium. Through the repetition of drawing, cutting, and layering a single line, an accumulation of time emerges. These layers eventually take on a sense of flow, at times revealing boundaries reminiscent of a shoreline, as I explore the nature of originality. At the same time, cutting paper—a material typically in print—inevitably carries meaning. I practice the act of “cutting” as a language of expression.
